17 year old Masha Bruskina was hanged along with two other members of the resistance, 16 year old Volodia Shcherbatsevich and World War 1 veteran Kiril Trus in Minsk around noon on October 26, 1941 by the Germans. She was a Belarusian Jewish nurse and a member of the Minsk Resistance. The Germans let the bodies hang for three days before allowing them to be cut down and buried.

Those who control the present control the past and those who control the past control the future.
George Orwell
